1st Armenian International PhotoFest

Dear friends of photography, you are invited to participate in a spectacular event — the First Photo Festival of Armenia — to be held in Yerevan on August 24 – September 28, 2019. The general title of the festival is "Be Unique".

The festival gives you not only an opportunity to participate in a photo contest and meet colleagues from around the world, but also to discover Armenia with its more than 2800-year history. There are ancient temples, churches, monasteries and historical monuments as well as rare culinary and wine-making traditions. Despite being small, the country has diverse nature and unique landscapes that cannot be found anywhere else.

Armenians have reached unprecedented achievements in various fields, including photography. Here are some of the world-famous Armenian masters that have found shelter in other countries: Abdullah Brothers (Turkey, Egypt), Antoin Sevruguin (Persia), Gabriel Lekegian (Egypt), Hakob Semerjian, Conti (France), Hovhannes Kyurkchyan (Indonesia), John Garo (USA), Karsh (Canada), Andranik Kochar (Armenia), Guler (Turkey), Ida Kar, Boyadjian family, Kazandjian (Sudan).

Results and prizes

The awarded photos will be elected by the jury members according to a comprehensive evaluation of their photographic technique and how well they illustrate the topic of the category. The best of the participating artists will be awarded in 7 different nominations in the official opening ceremony. The prizes include an award certificate, an award statue, and a book/CD-photo collection of the Yerevan Photo Festival 2019.
